It’s good to over-order.
First, it must be known that pickles do not take kindly to being frozen. So order your burgers without pickles, get them on the side or remove them before you start cooling them down. Second, cool the burgers to 40 F or below. In other words – stick them in the fridge until cooled off. And third, seal them up and stick them in the freezer.
First, don’t ever heat the pickles. They get very hot and could burn you. Place sandwiches on a microwave-safe plate and cover with a paper towel. Heat on high for 30 seconds per sandwich if frozen, 15 to 20 seconds per sandwich if refrigerated.
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Barely cover the bottom of a broiler pan with hot water and replace slotted portion of the pan on top. Place sandwiches on the slotted portion of the pan, cover with aluminum foil and seal the edges with the foil to keep the steam in. Heat in oven for 15 to 20 minutes if frozen, 10 to 15 minutes if refrigerated.
