COLUMBUS, Ohio – Congressman Steve Stivers (R-Ohio) is joining the White Castle team for one day to celebrate the restaurant chain’s 90th birthday. On Monday, August 8, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., Congressman Stivers will begin working behind the counter at White Castle #17 at Kenny and Henderson Roads in Columbus.
“It’s always exciting when our community leaders want to get behind the counter,” said Jamie Richardson, vice president. “Congressman Stivers is the representative in the district in which White Castle’s home office is located.”
Stivers represents Ohio’s 15th Congressional District and is helping the White Castle staff to take and fulfill orders, as well as get behind the grill and prepare some of White Castle’s made-to-order Original Sliders.

Throughout 2011, home office staff and friends of White Castle will work side-by-side with team members in the restaurants. This will give them an opportunity to interact with White Castle Cravers, hear their comments and listen to their suggestions. White Castle is consistently looking to improve and expand its business. This is another opportunity for White Castle’s loyal legion of Cravers to give input about the brand they love.

The family-owned chain is hosting special events and birthday celebrations to observe the 90th birthday as the company looks forward to another 90 years of creating even more extraordinary moments.
