White Castle Raises $19,000 For Haiti Earthquake Relief

New York Region Presents $19,000 Check to American Red Cross

NEW YORK – White Castle recently presented a check for $19,000 for Haitian Relief to the American Red Cross. The New York Region’s 47 White Castle restaurants raised the funds following the devastating earthquake in Haiti on January 12, 2010.

“As a family-owned business, White Castle has a long tradition of giving back to the communities in which we operate, and this commitment extends to our global community,” said John Vogt, Regional Director of Operations. “We are grateful to our wonderful Craver customers for their generous donations on behalf of the people of Haiti and the American Red Cross, which is providing life-saving disaster assistance and supporting the country’s long-term recovery and reconstruction.”

A group of executives from White Castle’s New York Region presented the $19,000 check to Sonia Martinez, director of the American Red Cross in Greater New York, on March 30, 2010.
Participating executives included District Supervisor Jahangir Kabir, District Supervisor Francis Nation, Regional Assistant Director of Operations Thomas Bray, Regional Director of Operations John Vogt, District Supervisor Ana Palomino and Area Supervisor Mary Keller.
