Couple wins radio contest to tie the knot at Sharonville White Castle

CINCINNATI – At some point, every girl dreams of her wedding day with her prince charming in a castle. For Cincinnati bride-to-be Brenda Sparks, her dream wedding with fiancé Rick Hohweiler will become a reality in a Castle in Sharonville. White Castle, that is.

White Castle partnered with 96ROCK to find a couple who craves each other as much as they crave Sliders to get married at the White Castle/Laughing Noodle location in Sharonville. The ceremony will take place Thursday, February 14 at 1:15 p.m.

“Rick and I met 29 years ago at the Sharonville White Castle,” Sparks said. “In the 1980s, we had a group of mutual friends that hung out there every weekend. To be married where we met 29 years ago, and in a place that means so much to our friends, is truly special.”

The couple submitted their story on 96ROCK’s website, where they were asked in 96 words or less, to tell the station “What White Castle Means to Us.” Their winning story was selected by 96ROCK staff members. Sparks and Hohweiler will be the only couple in the nation getting married at a Castle this Valentine’s Day.

White Castle will provide complimentary food and beverages for the wedding party and up to 20 guests. 96ROCK will provide a limo ride, courtesy of Rockstar Limousine, rings courtesy of The Castle and Steve Ziegelmeyer of 96ROCK will photograph the ceremony. Reverend Ron Tate will marry the couple. Media are welcome to attend, but the wedding will not be open to the public.

The Sharonville location and Castles across the nation will be open in the evening for their annual Valentine’s Day dinner. Cravers in the Cincinnati region can call 513-559-0575 ext. 10 from 9 a.m. -4 p.m. Monday through Friday to make reservations.
