White Castle turns up the heat on Detroit

(Detroit, MI) White Castle representatives joined city officials to announce that it will provide thousands of hamburgers and refreshments to Angel’s Night Volunteers from October 29th- 31st. Angel’s Night, formerly Devil’s night was a time when fires were set throughout the city of Detroit, mainly to abandoned houses. Since then, fires have considerably decreased due to Detroit’s Anti-Arson campaign where thousands of volunteers keep watch during Halloween week.

In order to receive the free White Castles and refreshments, volunteers must wear the Angel’s Night shirts provided by the city of Detroit and go inside designated restaurants to pick up food.

This is White Castle’s eighteenth year as a major sponsor for Angel’s Night. “We have always supported Detroit and continue to do so,” says White Castle Regional Director Mason Wolf.
